Antibiotics Reduction & Udder Health

Animal welfare is key for dairy farms. Mastitis is a major disease of dairy animals with a worldwide spread. The use of antibiotics for treatment of mastitis cases is crucial, however, antibiotic resistance is a global concern because of its fast spread in animal populations and humans.

Reduction in use of antibiotics can be achieved with the implementation of precision dairy farming strategies and effective udder health monitoring at herd level.

We have designed a field service that includes:

  • monitoring of udder health on a monthly basis
  • analysis of farm data
  • microbial profiling of the farm
  • ultrasonograpy of the udder and “Udder Productivity Index”, utilizing our innovative artificial intelligence service

This service aims to implement more accurate therapeutic protocols based on farm microbial profile, reduce the use of antibiotics in favor of prevention and help farmers and consultants to design precise preventive strategies against mastitis.
